F.F.F.-January 11, 2013

2013 is like every year - the weeks fly by!

Time to reflect on at least five good things that happened this week:

1.  Healing:  I'm recovering well from my recent bout of the flu / stomach virus, or whatever it was.  God made our bodies to be an amazing thing - it will heal if you give it time.  Of course, I've been babying myself by staying in at night and getting extra sleep. I'm thankful for the return of energy.

2.  New Equipment:  the church voted to get a new copier.  I'm so excited because there will be no more toner dust flying around this office!

3.  I like this time of year because it is a good time to organize.  I'm finally at a point at the office where some serious organizing can be done.  It does my secretary's heart good to order new supplies and set up new file systems!

4.  I'm excited about blogging in 2013.  I now feel I have direction on what I would like to accomplish this year.  I will be writing on the subject "fearless." I hope many of you will join me as we examine this subject.

5.  Quote of the week:

It’s not the chains that hold you prisoner...it is your mind!
… seen on twitter

I think this quote goes along well with being fearless because it is our mind that tells us of all the ways we could fail ...

How did your week go?  Why not link up at Susanne's blog, Living to Tell the Story, and tell us all about it!

  7. Our mind does get in the way of success and moving ahead, in my case, a lot. I guess that's why the bible talks about our thought life so much.

Funny how the organizing bug hits in January. Hope you continue to feel better and are back 100%.

  8. Please do baby yourself as you continue recovery from the flu. It is a wicked one by all accounts!

Fearless. Oh, I am trying! It feels so good to move from fear to trusting that God has it all in hand.
