FOR TODAY, MONDAY, JANUARY 14
Outside my window... 6:41 a.m., 25°, dark ... dreary ...
I am thinking... of how hard life can be, and how it seems some people make it even harder on themselves.
I am thankful... for having a job. In today's economy, it is a great blessing.
In the kitchen... chicken and rice tonight.
I am wearing... dark brown pants, dark brown beaded tank and a cranberry cardigan.
I am creating... a series of posts on being fearless.
I am wondering... why everyone is so afraid of the name of Jesus. Atheists fight so hard against anyone saying it or displaying it. I think deep down, they know there is really power in His name!
I am reading...a new-to-me author, E. E. Kennedy, "Irregardless of Murder." (I like whodunits!)
I am hoping... to see results of prayer in the lives of certain family and friends. God knows who they are!
I am learning...to trust Him more and more as I learn more about Him.
Around the house...everything looking cozy and comfy - makes it hard to leave home everyday!
I am pondering... the goodness of God and how He has extended grace to me - though I am so undeserving
A favorite quote for today...
"We have not out sinned God's ability to forgive us." ~@BethMooreLPM#praiseJesus#passion2013…twitter – quoted by Lisa-Jo Baker
How comforting to know that!
One of my favorite things...animal prints.
A few plans for the rest of the week: board meeting, visiting the hair salon, going out to dinner on Saturday with some of our favorite people, Bro. Terry and Sister Barbara Eaves.
A peek into my day...
Last year, we had a warm winter and this shot was taken in January 2012. I just wanted to remind myself that more spring-like days will eventually come!
The Daybook is a concept created by Peggy Hostetler. You can link up at her blog, The Simple Woman's Daybook.
Lovely view. Looks like farm country.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your post today.
It is important to remember that winter doesn't last forever...I like that you posted the picture of flowers, I did that, too...Keeping in mind things to look forward to in the coming weeks helps too. Enjoy your evening out.
