Daybook-12.03.12

FOR TODAY, MONDAY, DECEMBER 3RD

Outside my window
... 63° and dreary looking ... I think it is supposed to rain.

I am thinking
... about yesterday's sermon on abiding in the Vine... Sucker branches will sap the fruit from the vine.  Remove the "suckers"  (distractions) from your life...  and branches don't prune each other - it's not our job to cut down other branches ...The fruit we bear is for others - we get our fruit from the Vine.

I am thankful... for my life.  I'm in a good place right now.

In the kitchen...BBQ ribs and baked sweet potatoes

I am wearing...black jeans and cami with a leopard print ruffly top.  (Love!)

I am creating...more digital scrapbook pages.  This time, I did a 3 generation page.

A favorite quote for today...

"Fruit will come naturally, when we abide in the Vine." ... Travis Schroeder

You don't "earn" your fruit, it is a by-product of abiding.

One of my favorite things...sleep (Just keepin' it real.)

A few plans for the rest of the week: more scrapbooking and getting my giveaway post ready.  (You could win software for digitally scrapbooking.)  Also, I will be planning more "Because He Came" posts.  I'm thinking about putting the tree up this week, and doing some online shopping.

A peek into my day...

It's what's for dinner.

The daybook is a concept created by Peggy Hostetler.  You can link up at her blog, The Simple Woman's Daybook.

  3. "and branches don't prune each other - it's not our job to cut down other branches ..."

Ooh, excellent point. I'll try to remember that.

I'm glad you are in a good place in your life right now. That's how I feel too. Praise God. Let's enjoy it while we can!

Sleep is definitely one of my favorite things, so I'm with you. No shame. :-) I'm not very good at it, so I think it makes me appreciate it even more. Have a great day! Always enjoy your Daybooks.
