Thankful for Nature

When I look around and see the beauty that God has made, I'm in awe.

I love looking at the sky, the trees and flowers, lakes, rivers and streams.  It's all so gorgeous.

Somehow, when I'm out enjoying nature, peace begins to descend on me.  There is just something calming about sitting in the midst of all the beauty God created.

The bible says that men have no excuse not to believe there is a Creator when they see what He has made.

Romans 1:19-20 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

since what can be known about God is evident among them, because God has shown it to them. For His invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood through what He has made. As a result, people are without excuse.

One of my favorite things to do is go on road trips with my husband and photograph all the beautiful nature scenes I can find.  You can see in my blog header some of my favorites, but here are just a few more that I'd like to share:

March 2012 - Waterfall at Fern Clyffe State Park, Illinois

April 2012 - Cane Lake, Arkansas

May flowers - 2012

June 2012 - Field Behind Our House

July 2012 Roses

August 2012 - Tennesee

September 2012 - Whippoorwill Lake, Missouri

October 2012 - Centralia, IL

November 2012 - Rend Lake, Illinois

What a beautiful world God has made!  I'm thankful for nature.

What makes you thankful?

All during the month of November, I will be sharing my gratitude for all God has given me. I'm joining Joyful Reader on her Giving Thanks Challenge at her blog, Encouragement for Daily Bible Reading.

I too thank God for his gift of the beauty around us in all the things you mentioned, especially the mountains and beautiful skies we are privileged to see. He is so good to us in providing such a gorgeous place for us to live and experience.

    Have a blessed day :)

  4. I was back on your blog today reading your newest post and looked back to this one to make sure my last comment went through... I noticed I put @BlogSpot.com in my link, but I meant blessingsnsweettea.blogspot.com

I'm sure you knew that, but just wanted to correct it.

    Have a great night :)
