Thankful for Little Luxuries

I am truly blessed.  Although, I'm not rich, I do get to enjoy some little luxuries.

I love having my nails done and my hair professionally styled.

I love going out to eat.  Although, if done to excess, it's bad for my budget and my waistline, eating out is a great way to pamper myself.  After all, I've been cooking for over 36 years now - it's time for some breaks! (The best part is no kitchen clean-up!)

Of course, these are things that I can live without, if needs arise.  Yet, I'm truly thankful for these little luxuries which are counted as blessings.

All during the month of November, I will be sharing my gratitude for all God has given me. I'm joining Joyful Reader on her Giving Thanks Challenge at her blog, Encouragement for Daily Bible Reading.

  2. Really enjoyed this post :) I definitely think the little luxuries are a great thing to be thankful for... it's hard to imagine how different our lives would be without them and the joys they bring. Its such a lesson too, when we look back at how people like the pioneers lived and how hard they had to work for simple things like butter that we can get so easily at the store.
Hope you are having a blessed day of food and family!
