Thankful for Enthusiasm

I was born an enthusiastic person.  From the very beginning, it didn't take much to excite me.  I always could find joy and excitement in the smallest of things.

I looked up the word enthusiasm and basically it means someone who has a lively interest or passion, or someone who has extravagant religious fervor.  Umm... that's me!

enthusiasm [ɪnˈθjuːzɪˌæzəm]
n
1. ardent and lively interest or eagerness
2. an object of keen interest; passion
3. (Christianity / Ecclesiastical Terms) Archaic extravagant or unbalanced religious fervour
4. Obsolete possession or inspiration by a god
[from Late Latin enthūsiasmus, from Greek enthousiasmos, from enthousiazein to be possessed by a god, from entheos inspired, from en-2 + theos god]
Collins English Dictionary – Complete and Unabridged

I'm happy to have the temperament God gave me.  I would not want to go around looking sour and being pessimistic. Why spend a whole lifetime never being passionate about anything?  God made a whole world of beautiful exciting things.  Why not enjoy it?

My Father is a God of fresh mercy and grace that is new every morning.  If that doesn't get you excited, what will?

I'm thankful God gave me enthusiasm!

All during the month of November, I will be sharing my gratitude for all God has given me. I'm joining Joyful Reader on her Giving Thanks Challenge at her blog, Encouragement for Daily Bible Reading.
