Today's word is ....
I think the word "grasp" means to grab onto if you are talking about grasping in the physical sense. If you mean mentally, "grasp" means comprehend.
A concept can be be hard to grasp. You just don't "get it." You can't understand fully what it means.
I have trouble grasping the concept of how much Jesus loves me.
And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, (Ephesians 3:18, 19)
Last week, I wrote about His love being wider than the ocean.
The psalmist wrote about His love reaching into the heavens.
I know one thing. I want to grab onto that love and never let go.
Never let go, even during the times I might not "feel" that love.
Even when the enemy whispers to me how unworthy I am of that love.
Even when my own human reasoning wants to earn that love but knows I never can.
I'm just going to grab on and hold on for all eternity.
(I know I used this same scripture to illustrate last week's word, "wide," but, hey! It's a good one!)
