1. Cooler temps: Oh, yes! My ideal temp is 75° and it's been more like 85° mid-day, but we're getting there.
2. Mums: I love mums, especially the bright yellow ones. This week, Wal-Mart had them marked down and I picked up a planter of sunny goodness for only $2.43.
3. An advocate: our Sunday School lesson this Sunday will be about Jesus being our High Priest. How awesome it is to realize that God provided a priest who truly knows how we feel - because He was human, too. To top that off, He spends His time praying for us!
4. Anticipation: this week may have been uneventful, but I'm looking forward to coming days. On Saturday, I'm going to a Beth Moore simulcast. Monday will find me going with a group to Memphis to hear Hillsong. The rest of the week I have off from work and will be having a lovely staycation.
5. Quote of the week:
A man may hide God from himself, and yet he cannot hide himself from God.
William Secker
It's comforting to know that wherever I am, He is there!
In light of this week's events in the news, I say "Maranatha!" Take heart, our Lord will come in person to take His people to be with Him - perhaps sooner than we think. I definitely believe we are living in the last days.

I love mums too - I need to get some. My summer flowers in the window boxes are getting ragged.

Enjoy your staycation. The trip to see Hillsong sounds wonderful.
Ah, I see you're enjoying a tiny respite from the heat, too. Mums are pretty indeed. What a precious thought, that we have Someone on our side -- and may He come soon!
