Daybook - 09.10.12

FOR TODAY, MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 10

Outside my window...
it's 55° ... and I'm excited.  So glad to have cooler weather!

I am thinking...of pastor's illustration in his sermon yesterday, "Being a Christian is like walking up an escalator, if you lose your vision and don't keep moving forward, you'll go backwards."

I am thankful...that I do have vision and goals and dreams.

In the kitchen... chicken in the crockpot that I will use to make homemade chicken pot pie tonight. I've been thinking about dumplings lately ...

I am wearing...white capris and a top that has aqua and teal tropical flowers.

I am creating... a witness ... people watch my life whether I want them to do so, or not.

I am going...to a Beth Moore simulcast event on Saturday!

I am reading...nothing right now ... it's time to pick out a new book.

I am looking forward to...my next vacation which will be next week.  It is a staycation and I'm hanging around the house - my favorite thing to do.

A favorite quote for today...

Except a man be born again, he will wish one day he had never been born at all.
J. C. Ryle

I'm so thankful that the Holy Spirit drew me to him and that I had the good sense to accept the gift of salvation.

One of my favorite things...sunflowers

A few plans for the rest of the week: trying to find a new hair stylist (my Terri has moved away!), worship practice and Beth Moore simulcast.

A peek into my day...

  2. I like what you are creating. It's something that I had never thought of before, but it's so true. People are watching us all the time. Since that is the case, we might as well put our best food forward instead of our worst.

I truly enjoyed reading your daybook thoughts today. I hope your mother has a wonderful birthday. :) Oh. . . and enjoy your staycation! :)

  3. I love sunflowers too. So pretty and bright and cheery. I would love you have your temps right now. Still in the high 80's during the day and low 70's at night. I am so looking forward to fall!

  4. Love the pastor's comment...if we don't keep moving forward, we'll go backwards. Thank you.
