Tasty Tuesday - Strawberry Cheesecake Dessert

Recently, I shared how I enjoyed a new recipe for Strawberry Cheesecake Dessert.  It's a concoction that is yummy, cool and refreshing, and easy-peasy to put together. You gotta love that!

This recipe was contributed by Donna Birk, KFVS12.com business administrator to the Summer Recipes 2012 magazine.

Ingredients:
1 box yellow cake mix
2 boxes instant cheesecake pudding
1 quart frozen strawberries, drained
Cool Whip, softened

Prepare yellow cake mix as directed on box and bake.  After cake has cooled, poke holes in cake with straw.  Prepare instant cheesecake pudding as directed on box.  Pour cheesecake mixture over cake. Pour strawberries over top of cheesecake mixture.  Ice with Cool Whip.

Notes:

  • Optional:  sprinkle top with pecans
  • I used sugar free-fat free pudding
  • I used lite Cool Whip
  • I used fresh strawberries that I sliced, sprinkled some sugar on top and let sit for about 20 minutes.  Then I drained and proceeded with the remaining directions.

I'm linking this post with Jen's Balancing Beauty and Bedlam's Tasty Tuesday blog party.  Go check out all the yummy recipes!
