Directed Paths

On Fridays, I like to join in at The Gypsy Mama blog and write for 5 minutes on the word that Lisa-Jo has chosen.  Today she has chosen:

PATH

Whenever I go somewhere and take photos, I always take a photo of a road or a path. (See the header of my blog!)  To me, there is romance in looking at a path because you never know what is over the horizon.

My path has led me to places I never knew I would be, doing things that I had no idea was in God's plan for my life.

I think God likes paths, too.  He said He would direct our path if we would acknowledge Him by giving Him first place in our lives.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (ASV)

Trust in Jehovah with all thy heart, And lean not upon thine own understanding:
In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he will direct thy paths.

He also warned us about paths.  Don't take the broad path that seems so enjoyable and easy because it leads to destruction.

Take the path less traveled.  The one that winds up hill and down dale.  What an adventure you'll have!  What people you'll meet!  What endurance you will develop.  Talents and abilities that you never knew you had will be discovered.

Blessings are waiting at those mountain tops.

Comfort is lingering in those valleys.

And the end of the path?

It will be Home.

A home you could never have imagined... So stick to that path!

STOP

  3. Perfect scripture to the word she chose. I love that you pictured a winding path and how everything is in sync with this post right up to the end. Life is a wonderful journey and God blessed us with all the ways of it. LOVE the photo.
