Daybook-06.25.12

FOR TODAY, THE LAST MONDAY IN JUNE

Outside my window...
HOT HOT HOT.  The heat is killing my flowers!

I am thinking...grateful thoughts.

I am thankful...to see how God is working in my cousins' lives.

In the kitchen... grilled pork steak, and later in the week, ham and beans.  (I have a nice juicy ham bone just waiting to flavor my beans.)

I am wearing...black top, white flowy skirt.  Turquoise and black beads.

I am creating... a testimony - hopefully, not one that says "it's all about me!"

I am going
... to get my nails done today.  Love getting that done!

I am reading... nothing - I will pick out a new book at the library today.

I am looking forward to... next Saturday's yard salin'.

I am learning... to think ahead.  It's a hard lesson!

Around the house... some major dusting needs to be done, and the inbox on my desk at home is overflowing ... again!

I am pondering... running to meet your giant.  The bible says David RAN towards Goliath.  I tend to shrink away from my giants instead of facing them head on ...

A favorite quote for today... "David was small in size ... but large in faith."  (My pastor, Travis Schroeder.)

One of my favorite things... new pens.  (I love office supplies.)

A few plans for the rest of the week: a busy week this week - I have appointments, meetings or things that have to be done in the evenings for. Every. Day. This. Week.  (I'm not a fan of having something to do every night ...)

A peek into my day...

One of my favorite photos that I have taken - Dusk on the Ohio

  1. Oh my gosh! I love pens and office supplies...I am also an avid follower of the Life of David BUT I will have to look closer for that. Now you have me pondering! Did you see my poem called Goliath Comes. It is on the sidebar of my blog when you have a minute ...Happy Monday!

  2. Never thought of running towards our giants. It is an interesting thought to ponder. I love your picture!

  3. I love your picture the composition. The little wooden fence is so pretty in foreground.

There is so much to learn from the life of David! Max Lucado's book Facing Your Giants is an excellent teaching too.

I'm a stationary fanatic myself. Pretty paper to write lists on always makes me smile.
