FOR TODAY, JANUARY 2ND
Outside my window... a gorgeous sunny breezy day. I love seeing sunshine. It fills me with energy.
I am thinking... about where I want my blogging to go this year. I am considering a posting schedule with a monthly topic. I'm also thinking about hosting a linky party. Anyone want to share some input?
I am thankful...that I live in a country that allows me to express my opinions without fear.
In the kitchen...pork chops and broccoli and cheese, today.
I am wearing...jammies, because this is my last day off before going back to work. I'm declaring it another "Lazy Monday." Alas, this will be my last one for awhile ...
I am creating...goals for the new year.
I am going...no where!
I am wondering...what God has in store for me this year.
I am reading... "A Heart of Ice" by Lis Wiehl. I'm also starting today a reading a bible in a year program. I usually don't do this, but it's been a few years since I have done one, and I feel it's time to get back into a disciplined plan.
I am hoping...to improve each year in all the things that really matter.
I am looking forward to...next weekend when my daughter and son-in-law come home for a visit!
I am listening to...the clock ticking. I feel like it's telling me, "time is passing by ... don't waste it!"
Around the house...Christmas decor to be put up. Today is the day the tree will be put away. Okay, it's not going to be a totally "Lazy Monday."
I am pondering...how I can accomplish my goals.
One of my favorite things...a bright and shiny kitchen, all tidied up!
A few plans for the rest of the week: starting on my bible lesson for this month. I've got 9 days to finish it up. At work, I'll be placing a big order of office supplies and then finishing up setting up the 2012 files. (I didn't get done last week!) Also, I will be getting the year-end giving reports out. Looks like a big week, I'm really going to enjoy today before the madness begins!
Here is peek into my day... after I post this daybook, I'll do my bible reading. I'll follow that up with cleaning off my desk and putting dates in my calendar. We'll tackle the tree (we is me and my hubby) and then the rest of the day will be "lazy."

I wonder if my friend Glenda will be able to do this again this year?
The Daybook concept was created by Peggy Hostetler. I'm linking this up at her blog, The Simple Woman's Daybook.
I love sunshine. My family moved back into a "real" house from a townhouse this Fall. I didn't realize how dark the townhouse was until we moved here. Wow, I love it! I wrote a blog post about it in September. If you are interested in reading it, you can see it here:

Just put the tree up. All tidied and vacuumed...we're headed to watch the rose bowl with some friends...so wish I had saved this whole day for the laziness and pj's...back to work will come too soon!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had at least one more lazy day before starting back to work. Have a lovely day.
