The Simple Woman's Daybook, November 1, 2011

FOR TODAY, TUESDAY

Outside my window...37 and dark, but it's supposed to be a gorgeous fall day.

I am thinking...of what things need to be accomplished at work this week.

I am thankful...for my newest follower! I'm very grateful for all my readers

In the kitchen... chicken and dressing casserole for dinner tonight.

I am wearing...a green, brown and cream skirt with a green top that has bows on it.

I am creating...a legacy for my children, and hoped-for grandchildren.  Am I leaving a legacy that impacts their lives for Christ?

I am going...to a Women's Retreat this weekend. I'm looking forward to being challenged.

I am wondering...what God has in store for me next!

I am reading... just picked up a new Robert Whitlow book from the library, "Water's Edge." I'm sure it will be good because I have loved every one of his books so far.

I am hoping...that God will use our retreat will touch women's lives. We are so needy living in troubling times!

I am looking forward to...vacation at the end of the month.  I'm thinking about doing nothing.

I am hearing...my hubby typing on his computer.

Around the house...everything is pretty well caught up at the present time, so I'm just enjoying the ambiance of home.

I am pondering... blog post material!

One of my favorite things... looking at home decor blogs.

A few plans for the rest of the week: planning my dish to take to the retreat, picking out songs for the Sunday night worship line-up, and I still need to unpack my fall sweaters ...

Here is a picture for thought I am sharing...

Doesn't God use the most fantastic color in His creations?

Daybooking is a concept created by Peggy Hostetler.  If you would like to participate, link up at The Simple Woman's Daybook.

  1. Oh yes, Jerralea! God does have an amazing and brilliant color pallet! Thank you for your comment, and back 'atcha! I have enjoyed my time reading your daybook! I will pray for a safe trip for you to the retreat, and that women are reached. We are living in very troubling times. *sigh* Yet here is another perspective from my 9yo daughter - "No need to be troubled. It just means we're getting closer to Jesus returning." Well! Hallelujah to that!! :)

  3. The Woman's Retreat sounds wonderful and love the photo you shared! Thank you so much for dropping by my blog as well!

With the temperature you're having, I think you might enjoy the Mexican Hot Chocolate; Some add chile powder to it, but what I do, is use, whipped cream and sprinkle chocolate shavings, lol.
