The Simple Woman's Daybook - May 18, 2009

FOR TODAY, MAY 18 EDITION...

Outside my window... glorious sunshine and slightly cool temperatures. It's just the way I like it!

I am thinking... that even though my weekend was tiring and troubling, I can stand on Romans 8:28, and feel comforted that all will work out well in the end:

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,
who have been called according to his purpose.

I am thankful for... God's word that gets me through troubling times.

From the kitchen... I'm planning on grilling a pork tenderloin sometime this week. I don't know if today is the day or not. Also, I'm doing an apple pie for my hubby!

I am wearing... one of my favorite dresses, brown with mauve flowers.

I am creating... a new look in our bathroom.

I am going... wherever He leads!

I am reading...(still) "It Takes So Little to Be Above Average" by Florence Littauer. I'm getting a lot of good ideas from the book.

I am hoping... to influence my world for Christ.

I am hearing... silence.

Around the house... a few little routine things need to be done.

One of my favorite things... fresh cut flowers (see my picture thought below.)

A few plans for the rest of the week: bike riding, organizing, studying.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...

Gorgeous Irises!

  1. I'm sorry you had a troubling weekend, but I'm glad that you're finding comfort in that verse. I'll keep you in prayer that whatever it is will work out.

Those irises are very pretty! Fresh cut flowers, apple pie, grilled pork tenderloin---it all sounds wonderful. Enjoy!
