How quickly Friday rolls around again! It's been a busy week, as usual, and here are the highlights:
1. On Monday, I went to my daughter's church with her for a special meeting. It was a very interesting night. The theme of the message was having God's Word in you. This is a topic I'm very passionate about. I feel that too many believers don't study the Word to know what they believe!
2. Tuesday was a beautiful day here in the heartland of America. My hubby and I drove around just enjoying the scenery. Here's a photo I took while we traveled down a road called "Wolf Creek." As I've said before, I love photos of paths, roads, or trails.
Earlier in the day, I snapped a photo of this field overrun by weeds. But they're such pretty weeds:
I just love what God has created!
3. Wednesday was a good day for me because I had the day off. I spent it doing one of my favorite things - organizing and de-cluttering. Things had gotten out of control in a couple areas of my home and I had to do something! I had a list of 14 things to do and accomplished 10 of them. Marking those things off my list felt good!
4. On Thursday, I attended a concert that the community college puts on every year. They invite high school students from all over the region to participate in the concert. Both my younger daughters were invited. I go every year to this event and I love it. Something about 200 young people singing together just lifts my heart. The awesome thing is that they do a selection of religious songs. In this day and time, seeing a school let students sing about God is amazing! It could probably only happen in the heartland ...
5. I'm still working on my fitness goals. I'm up to 16 minutes a day on my trampoline. I'm working on drinking more water. Yesterday I drank 74 ounces. Go me!
So. How was your week? Why not share how things went for you this week at Susanne's Living to Tell the Story.
I love the heartland of America too! We live in Missouri. Are you close by?
ReplyDelete#1 - good for that church to recognize the significance of God's word! #2 - gorgeous view, Jerri. #3 is always good, the day off part, of course :-)
ReplyDeleteI love that you shared one thing from each day. Sounds like a great week. I agree with you on your #1. We have to know what we believe in.
ReplyDelete#2 - Just gorgeous! I love admiring God's creations!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. I love pictures of roads too. In fact a road picture is what hangs over my couch. I love taking pictures of them too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy week you had. I love paths and roads too. And doors. I agree with you on #1 (and it should be #1) and #3 (love my day off- today)
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day!
Hi Jerri! So glad you had some nice weather and went out in it to explore. I love roads and trails like the one you took a photo of. I'm always the one chirping "why can't we just study a book of the Bible instead of a book about marriage, or kids or life or death or whatever"... I think all of that gets covered when you study the WORD! Sorry for going "off" in your comments :0)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend!
Fantastic list, Jerri!
ReplyDeleteI love scenic drives, too. Congratulations on knocking out 71% of your To Do list on your day off -- Quite impressive.
Great photos...there is something alluring about roads and trails...makes you want to be adventurous!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful pictures and sounds like you really enjoyed it with your hubby. And having a day of is good for any reason. Have a great weekend and Happy Mother's Day to you :) Aloha
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on #1, too.
ReplyDeleteThe photo of the field overrun by weeds looks much like a field of canola....a crop that is very popular around us.
I can't wait until the trees are in full leaf, like the ones along your road photo.
Have a blessed week and a great Mom's Day!
I too drove the high way roads on Tuesday in the heartland area...it was a gorgeous day.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had such a great week!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading your blog.God bless!
