Another week has rolled around and it's time for Friday's Fave 5, a time set aside to reflect on our week.
1. Sunday, after church, I took my baby girl shopping for a prom dress. Now, I'm not a shopper, and neither is she, and I was worried that the day might not go well. I worried in vain, it all worked out well. Bonding time with my child - you gotta love it!
2. Monday, I watched a couple of my favorite TV shows: "Little People, Big World" and "Jon and Kate + 8". Really, those two shows plus the game show channel is all I watch.
3. Tuesday was the day I set aside to get things ready for the board meeting. Imagine my surprise to find I had already typed up the minutes of last month's meeting. Hard to believe I didn't remember doing that, but it was a bonus to find a job already completed! I love getting out of work!
4. While reading a post this week, I found another favorite quote:
"Mistakes are the price we pay for being human; repeated mistakes are the price we pay for being stubborn!" Laurie at Women Taking A Stand. You can read her thoughts about this subject here.
Meditate on that thought for awhile!
5. As many of us have been sharing, we are all waiting anxiously for spring. One of the things I love most about spring is when the trees bud and flower. Here is a picture of a beautiful flowering tree outside my church that I took this week:

Good morning Jerralea! Oh I'm so happy your shopping excursion turned out well! Love those special times. Your the second person who has mentioned Jon and Kate. That show isn't on my radar screen. I'll have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteBlossoming trees really are glorious! Have a wonderful weekend.
Good morning ,What a beautiful flowering tree.Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteBonding with our kids - you gotta love that. I did that too this week. My daughter had a short school week so we hung out together. I love the picture, it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
I loved #1, Sometimes when I'm in "getting things done" mode I forget that the time with kids or friends or whoever we're with can be well spent no matter what we "accomplish."
ReplyDeleteHow neat to find a job already done!
Ah the love of bonding with one's children. Since I don't have kids I bond with my nieces and nephews and love every minute of it. Love the quote and isn't it wonderful that spring is in the air? Wonderful time of year.
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh when I read that you had already done the job for your meeting....that is a great thing to be thankful for!
ReplyDeleteSo glad your shopping trip was a good experience! Your daughter will remember that day always, I'm sure!
Love that quote!
ReplyDeleteShopping for that dress is very special. I mentioned John and Kate, too. Isn't that funny?
That tree is amazing!
Sounds like you had an amazing week!!
ReplyDeleteSo nice to read!
Look forward to Monday's post! I love to start my week here!
