WFMW: Brownie Recipe

I'm fresh out of tips right now to share, so I thought I would share my "never fails to please" brownie recipe. Any time I've taken this to potlucks, someone always tells me they love them.

Jerri's Brownie Recipe

In large mixing bowl combine:

1 C vegetable oil

1 1/2 C sugar

Mix thoroughly, then add:

3 eggs

2 tsp. vanilla

In a medium sized bowl, combine:

1 C flour

2/3 C cocoa

1/2 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

Gradually add contents of medium bowl to large using a whisk.

Pour into greased 9X13 pan.

Bake @ 350 degrees for 20 mins. [Unless your stove is like mine, old, then cook for 25 mins. then check every 3 minutes until FINALLY it's done.]

This recipe always works for me! The brownies are moist and frosting is not needed.

  1. Hi Jerri - I found the commercial size box of Ziplocs at a restaurant supply store. You may want to check Sam's or Costco - I think they may carry large boxes as well.

I want to try this brown recipe - it sounds delicious!

  2. Thanks, this looks good. When I'm in a hurry, I hate finding a brownie recipe and then seeing that it needs to be frosted.
