Sincerely 'Fro Me to You - Oh, Those Sailor Dresses

It's time for Sincerely 'Fro Me to You again. Each week I have trouble deciding whether to post something cute or humiliating ...

Recently, I posted a picture of me in Junior High wearing a purple sailor dress. In keeping with my theme, here is a picture of me in grade school also wearing a sailor dress. This one is in traditional colors, but note the hairdo. My mother achieved this look for me by rolling my hair up in pink sponge rollers. And the bangs? Well, I don't remember it, but surely she put a bowl on my head and cut my bangs around it!

  1. I definitely remember the photo of the purple sailor dress - although you had to tell us that it was purple. I think you knew it was a pretty look for you so you stuck with it!

    Have a great weekend!

  2. I once did give my friend a bowl cut with a couple of other friends. Let's just say he went to a professional the next day to get it buzzed off!! It sure was funny.

  6. I remember having a sailor dress as a kid too. I think it must be some weird rite of passage. :) You were very cute, though. Despite the bangs.

    Thanks for stopping by yesterday!

  7. The dress - cute; the hair - not so much! I remember those pink sponge rollers giving me a bad night's sleep followed by a bad hair day!
