Day 21, Friday, November 21: Today I'm thankful for benefits. I'm grateful my job provides benefits like paid vacation, insurance, holidays, etc. One benefit that I have that most may not is that I have access to the church's media library. For a voracious reader like me, that's really a great perk of the job. Think how much money I save not having to buy books or magazines!
There's a scripture I really love about benefits:
"Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his
benefits" Psalm 103:2
Did you know there were benefits to serving the Lord? Here's just a few: forgiveness, healing, redemption, love, compassion, satisfied desires, and renewal. Read Psalm 103 for yourself. I guarantee it will make your day! In fact, I'm thinking this would be a great passage of scripture to memorize.
And remember, His retirement plan is "out of this world!" (Sorry, I couldn't help myself!)
That is definitely something to be thankful for! I wish often that my husband's job had sick leave. He is hardly ever sick, but when he is he doesn't get paid. Not fun!
