Sincerely 'Fro Me to You #3: Silly Fathers

Although different in many ways, my father and father-in-law had quite a bit in common. They were both definitely head of their households, really hard workers, and believed in making their children obey. Family was important to them. They were good sons and sons-in-law.

Later in life, they both began attending church. I'm not saying they were perfect. No way. They tried, though.

There was one other thing they had in common.

Jim's Dad, R.C.
Jerri's Dad, Jerry
They were willing to look ridiculous to make a grandchild smile!

  5. Too cute! I wish my parents were more like that. Their goal is to keep the kids quiet. Ugh.

  6. That is so sweet! Its funny how they become big softies later in life around their grandchildren and (in my case) great-grandchildren!

And thanks for the compliment! I too love onesies on babies...especially in this humid Louisiana heat!

  8. That's great! What fun granddads!

My dad lives in Arkansas & is a huge Razorback fan. We live in Texas & my son is a huge Longhorn fan. I have a pic of the 2 of them: my dad in a longhorn mascot hat & my son in a razorback mascot hat. I love it!
