All Tied Up In Truth

The first piece of armor mentioned in Ephesians 6:10-18 is the belt of truth.

Now a belt doesn't seem like much of a piece of armor, but it is essential.  You need something to keep your clothes in place before you place armor on your body.

You need something to keep your focus in place when temptation or attacks come your way.  You need to know the truth.

The truth is ... God has a plan and His plan is victory.

The truth is ... the enemy was defeated at the cross and he has no power over you.

The truth is ... God's word says there will be trials (or afflictions) but that you will be delivered from. Every. One. Of. Them.  In His time.

The truth is ... the Holy Spirit is praying  God's will for your life. Not only that, but the Word tells us that Jesus is interceding for us continually.

You shall know the truth and the truth will make you free.

The only way to know the truth is to be in the Word.  Get all tied up in the Word so that you know that you know that you know what God has said.

You can't believe a lie if you know the truth.
