that no one transgress and wrong his brother in this matter, because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as we told you beforehand and solemnly warned you. 1 Thesalonians 4:6 ESV
Father,
We
praise You for caring so much for us! You avenge us when others have taken
advantage of us or wronged us.
We also trust You and leave things in Your hands since You have told us that vengeance is Yours.
In other words, it’s Your job to make things right. It’s
our job to believe You will, and wait to see it happen.
Sometimes,
that is easier said than done; however, the great thing is You will help us.
You invite us to come boldly before Your throne and receive help in times of
trouble.
What
a privilege to be Your child! Thank You, Abba, for Your love and care.
And
now, I ask for favor for me and my readers as we continue this week.
Let it be a productive, fruitful week filled with divine appointments wherein
we can bring You glory.
In
Jesus’ name, so be it, amen.

Thanks for dropping by the Journey! I want to always share my post, A Ticket Home, for those who might not know the way Home.
I'm also excited to share that I'm part of an upcoming book collaboration about Advent.

Thank you for your reminder to let Him be the Avenger. Eyes on Jesus and shine!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lisa. It is easy to forget He is the Avenger when someone has hurt us or someone we love, but God sees and knows and does not forget. In His timing, the matter will be brought to justice.
DeleteThank you for this reminder to leave all things in the hands of our most capable God. It is easier said than done but I have found it is also so much easier when it is done. May you have a blessed Thanksgiving, Jerralea!
ReplyDeleteAmen! It's so much better when He takes care of the problem. Happy Thanksgiving, Joanne!
DeleteYou write: "it’s Your job to make things right. It’s our job to believe You will, and wait to see it happen." I love how you simplify this for me. Vengeance is so sword-like - and at a contrast to Jesus', "Forgive them Father, they know not what they do." Sometimes, over some challenges, I feel caught between the two--because I don't want those challenges/hurts to continue. You tell me so beautifully to trust God to "make it right" - Jerralea, I can do that - I can trust Him to make it right - and in that trusting, forgive and love unconditionally. Bless you my friend for this!
ReplyDeleteSo glad it spoke to you! Happy Thanksgiving, Maryleigh.
DeleteOH Jerralea, I am so grateful that we can trust God to take care of all the wrongs, to make things right, to bring healing to us, and glory to Himself.
ReplyDeleteThanksgiving blessings to you and yours!
Linda, it's so true we can trust Him to do it right! Happy Thanksgiving!
