Everlasting Kindness

Psalm 103:14-18 NLT

For He Himself knows our frame;
He is mindful that we are but dust.

15 As for man, his days are like grass;
As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
16 When the wind has passed over it, it is no more,
And its place acknowledges it no longer.
17 But the lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him,
And His righteousness to children’s children,
18 To those who keep His covenant
And remember His precepts to do them.

Father,

I praise You that You are a God who loves and is kind forever. Even though our time here is short, if we reverence You and obey You, Your everlasting lovingkindness extends not only to us; but also our children!

What a wonderful promise! Oh, Lord, put it in our hearts to keep Your covenant.

I also find it comforting You know our limitations. You do not ask more of us than what You enable us to do.

You help us to continue.

You help us to love.

You help us to forgive – 70 x 7 in a day, if need be.

Today, I ask You to be with our friends as we prepare to finish the week well. May we keep You as the center of our focus. Help us remember our time is short. Let us make a difference in our homes and neighborhoods.

In Jesus’ name, so be it, amen.
