So far 2020 has been crazy-town for sure. For most of what has been happening, I still have no words. You, too?
Yet, there are blessings surrounding us and it's time to name them.
- The twins turned six recently and we took a little trip to commemorate the event. Rory got to go with us too, so our hearts were full. Here's a clip of PaPa and Rory in the hotel swimming pool, with Brody photobombing us. When I think back to our infertility years, it blows my mind to have three daughters and now three grandchildren. What a blessing!
- Blogging has had to be put on the back burner lately since I've been busily working on several creative projects: studying Isaiah for bible study class; creating devotionals for my email list, The Wednesday Pit-Stop; editing my trilogy; and now creating a series for midweek bible studies, "God Is ...". None of this could happen without two things, the holy Word of God, and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. I am so blessed and thankful.
- I'm thankful for the extra time: currrently I'm still working half days and so I'm freed up for these creative projects.
- I'm also thankful for naps. I've been availing myself of them lately.
- God's Word is so beautiful! Here's a few verses I've been feeding on lately:
After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands. And they were shouting with a great roar,“Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!”
Revelation 7:9-10 NLT
“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Luke 12:32 NKJVThe Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. Psalm 23:1 NLT
He is our Shepherd and He wants children from all nations, tribes and tongues to be included in the blessings He has for us. He wants to include you, too! (Wondering how to be included? Read "A Ticket Home.")

I just love the cheerfulness of this FFF and the SCRIPTURES!! I also was in Revelation earlier this week. What a blessing it is to read God's Word.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the swimming pool photo....sweet!!
how wonderful to still be working part time. (my day is usually 7 hours but I'm still on 5 hours...one at home and 4 in the classroom preparing learning kits and videos).
I hope you have a marvelous weekend!
So glad you had a fun visit with the grandkids! I don't think I knew about the infertility--what a blessing that God granted children and grandchildren to you!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have been super-busy!
I so agree about God's Word.
Grandchildren are the best. I miss mine terribly. I love naps too. My daily scripture reading is what is keeping me going during these crazy times. Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh I just love the Luke verse. So comforting.
ReplyDeleteGlad you could get away and celebrate! Such a cute pool photo! It's always good to take time to recount things to be thankful for. Happy weekend to you!
ReplyDeleteThanking God for His many blessings is always a good idea. Happy Birthday to your grandchildren.
ReplyDeleteNaps on the porch swing have been one of my favorite things these past few weeks. Happy Birthday to your grandchildren! We, too, struggled with infertility. I hadn't thought about that in a long time, and now to think we're grandparents. God is good!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to spend time with the grandchildren. I've seen 2 of ours recently but we still can't visit our other little one thanks to Covid. Hopefully we won't have to wait to much longer. Sounds like you're definitely keeping busy so I can understand the need for a nap! Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat Revelation passage always makes me so happy. ALL THE PEOPLE!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to the twins and I'm glad you got to spend some time with family.

ReplyDeleteI love that scripture in Revelation! Thanks for sharing it! So fun that you were able to get away with your family and have some fun! The twins are six already, that is so hard to believe. You are a busy lady with work and all the projects.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the blessing of a grateful heart! I read Psalm 23 yesterday from The Message translation and that verse struck me again "I have all that I need" Praise God!
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessing that you have been sharing in a thankfulness journey for all those hundreds of weeks! Truly God has given each of us so many gifts. Your grandchildren are lovely! And those passages from Revelation are just so good for this time. Every tribe, nation, and tongue will be there worshiping Him! Praise the Lord!
