Today,
we are celebrating the fact that a whole bunch of people put their lives on the
line for something they believed in – the freedom to live and work and be as
they felt God led them. May their sacrifices not be in vain! Let’s get back to
the basics of being an American, celebrating freedom and unity and a higher
calling to be a force of good in the world.
I read a great quote today from George Washington. I'm paraphrasing it but he basically said one cannot rule over a country without God and the Bible in doing so. I think we need to get back to that mentality and then truly America would be great again and God should bless America again. I cringe sometimes when I hear "God bless America" because I'm not sure God should bless us some days with what we have done with killing his babies and redefining marriage among so many other things. Stepping off my soapbox now.
