I don’t know who first said, “You have this one beautiful
life. What are you going to do with it?” It might be an adaptation of Mary
Oliver’s “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and
precious life? from her poem “The Summer Day”.
Either way, you get the idea. You’ve one shot at this thing
called life.
Will we let what others have done to us keep us from fulfilling
our destiny?
Will we worry over what others think and let that stop our
momentum?
Fear of being rejected?
Inertia?
Events from the past?
Whatever is holding us back, it is time to quit ignoring it
and take action.
You’ve one life.
At the end of it, do you want to look back and see a lifetime
of “if onlys”?
One sure thing is this:
nothing will change if we don’t do something.
You can stay
where you are the rest of your life (Maybe it’s comfortable where you are!)
Or maybe you’ve lost
your way. Our God is big enough that if you fall off the path, He can get you
back you where you need to be.
One life to live: take
a chance and step out.
You’ll never know if
you don’t try.
One life to live. Go
out and live it.
