Wonderful Works # 17

Let them praise the Lord for his great love

and for the wonderful things he has done for them.
Psalm 107:8 NLT

I praise God for the wonderful things He has done for us.

He went way above and beyond what was needed.

For instance, I praise Him for our five senses that make life so enjoyable. What if we could only see black and white? Or what if He'd only created one color? Instead, He gave us a myriad of colors, so many we could each have a favorite - or ten.

How about taste? What if everything tasted the same - or even had no taste at all? I'm thankful for the wonderful blessing of food. Cooks spend enormous amounts of time and resources creating dishes their friends and family enjoy. It's a great way to show love. What if God had not created taste buds? We might as well receive our nourishment intravenously.

Think of all the fellowship we would miss if we didn't bond over the dinner table!

Oh, I could go on and on.

His wonderful works are not just limited to what we can see, taste and feel, though. It was His idea to create the family and the church. He is the author of friendship and love. Even more important are the wonderful works of salvation, grace, protection and guidance He offers to those who want to accept Him.

Oh, we can't praise Him enough for His great love towards us. It reaches to the heavens!
