Paint

The heavens declare the glory of God.
(Psalm 19:1a)

Skies painted courtesy of the Master Artist, God Almighty.

Every morning and evening, God paints the sky. His works are incredibly beautiful and ever-changing.

Romans 1:20 tells us:

For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.

Just by observing the beautiful world He has made, we should know there is a God. How could all of this wild and rugged beauty be a matter of chance?

It couldn't.

His word makes it plain we will have no excuse for unbelief.

When we see the glory of a painted sky, the vast universe, the wonder of His canyons and mountains, the might of the oceans, the eternal renewal each spring of plants, the marvel of our own bodies which not only heals itself when cut or bruised but can actually reproduce itself ... why, how could we help but believe?

The Journey is our way Home. There is nothing more important than making that final destination. Jesus paid my ticket there, but I have to walk it out. In October, I will be observing the things that happen while traveling the Journey and writing a daily post about my observations.

Because I like to stretch myself, I will also do a challenge within a challenge - 31 days of 5 minute free writes. I will take a topic and run with it, writing furiously for 5 minutes, tailoring it to relate to my theme of examining life along the Journey.

If you are a subscriber, you will receive my #31Day posts each day. If you're not a subscriber, why not? Please go up to the Follow By Email box in the very top of the right column and enter in your email address. I don't want you to miss a thing!

You can also click here each day and look at the bottom of this post. The link to the newest post will be there.

If you would like to join in on the 31 Day Challenge, either as a writer or a reader, go here.

If you would also like to do the 31 Day challenge by doing it in a 5 Minute Free Write format, go here.

I'm also sharing this post at #SmallWonder because the glories of His painted skies ARE a wonder!

  1. Such beautiful pictures. I sometimes imagine how lovingly God made the earth. How he hung the stars, the moon, the sun, how he created the oceans, animals so much more, and knowing even now he is creating us to be more like Jesus. What a wonderful creator he is.

  2. Fall is an amazing time to view sunsets in my neck of the woods - so many pinks and golds in the sky. Blessings on your 31 day journey!
