Nativity

You might be a Christian, if you ... believe in the Nativity story.

It goes against everything we humans can imagine. A virgin gives birth to the Son of God? How can that be?

God can do anything He wants. If He can speak worlds into existence, He can have Christ be born to a pure young girl who never had had sexual relations. He can make that baby fully human and yet fully divine.

It's a mystery but with God nothing is impossible.

Even more mind-boggling is the idea that that little pure baby would grow up, live a sinless life, and at age 33 give His life as a sacrifice for all the dirty rotten sinners who will accept His gift.

Is Christ who He said He was?

I choose to believe He is. What do you choose?

The Word became flesh and blood,

    and moved into the neighborhood.
We saw the glory with our own eyes,
    the one-of-a-kind glory,
    like Father, like Son,
Generous inside and out,
    true from start to finish.

John 1:14 (MSG)

  1. I definitely do believe in it; I love reading about it in Luke too; always amazes me of Mary's faith!
