Journey Homeward

What were you doing a year ago?
I went back through my archives to see what was going on in my life in September 2014. I knew I would find out, because I share on my blog much of what goes on as I journey towards Home.
What I found out is that September of 2014 looks remarkably like September 2015. I was preparing for a stay-cation, gearing up for the 31 Day Writing Challenge, and writing about the twins and home, both home here on earth and my forever Home in Heaven.
Here is a quote I shared last year:
"Home interprets heaven - Home is heaven for beginners."
Charles Henry Parkhurst
Since the journey Home is so all-encompassing and full of detours, bends in the road, dizzying heights, low pits, and sights and sounds along the way, I think I can keep going with blogging in the same manner. Because, after all ...
I'm on a Journey:  Finding God in every step of the way Home. And I'm happy to share it with you!

Today's post was written in response to Writer's Workshop prompt # 6. What were you blogging about last year at this time? How have things changed?

  1. Sometimes it's so interesting to look back and see how far we've come. Last September was so very different than this September for me. Have a wonderful weekend.

  2. I found that my Sept. 2014 is very, very similar to Sept. 2015 too. I was feeling contentment then and still am. How blessed is that?!

  3. I'd have to go back and see what I was blogging about in September 2014, but if you were to tell me that I'd be moving out of California a few months later, I would never have believed it :) I do remember years ago going through something really hard and just writing out my frustrations about it in my prayer journal, whining at times, etc, to God. I thought one day to go back and read what I had written a year ago on that same day and it was again a whining entry. It made me stop and think and start thinking of things to be grateful for instead of whining.

  4. Hi Jerralea! Oh my, last September, I had three grandchildren, now I have five! I am also a year older, because Sept. 14th is my birthday :)
It's interesting to see where we were a year ago. I still remember the themes of the posts I put up last year. I hope that's a good thing?
    Weekend blessings,
