F.F.F. - 08.28.15

Wow! I can't believe this is the last Friday in August already!

1. I've been enjoying the cool wave that has went through my area. This weekend, we will be back at 90° but I've really enjoyed the coolness while I could.

2.  New professional photos of the twins were made this week. Although, aggravatingly, the twins did not smile much for their photo shoot, the pics were still. Adorable!

3.  I've been having fun modifying my study on Gideon into blog-posts.  What do you think? To save space on the post, should I continue posting links for the actual scripture passages as I have done? Or is is easier for study to actually have the passage printed out with my points? I still can't decide which is better.

4. This may be a trivial thing, but it makes me happy:  I got a new sheet set this week that actually has deep enough pockets on the fitted sheet to fit my mattress.  No more sheets flipping up over the mattress! Who knew 17" pockets could bring such joy?

It's the little things ...

5.  Quote of the week:

What if we took Desmond Tutu’s words to heart? “Do your little bit of good where you are. It’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”
… seen on Grace Table

And so ends another week on the Journey.  How did YOUR week go?  Please share by either leaving a comment, or link up your own post at Susanne's space,  Living to Tell the Story.

  1. The twins are adorable. Fun shots!
New sheets are such a treat. I'm glad you were able to enjoy some cooler weather this past week.
I think I'd like things all together instead of having to link away...

  2. How fun it would be to overwhelm our world with good. Great quote.

Since I read all the posts online, I liked the linked passages. If I was to read a hard copy, then I would prefer the passages written out. I think the length of each post was good and the formatting made it easy to read online. I also appreciated the subtitles and conversational tone of this study. I am looking forward to reading part 3.

Smiles or not, those are great photos.
    Hurray for 17 inch pockets.

  4. The twins are beautiful. What a sweet little pair they are.

I'm fine with the linked passages on the Gideon study. I have my Bible in front of me when I read it.

Deep pocket sheets are a definite fave with me!

  5. Those are two very cute babies! I've been gone a while, didn't knwo about the Gideon posts, so I have no opinion on that at all, but I'm gonna go take a look-see and let you know. I super love new sheets, especially thick cotton ones!
Anyhoo, have a great weekend friend.

  7. Hi Jerralea! I was just thinking about how small steps help the world to inch closer to love and peace. I really like Desmond Tutu's quote. Thanks for sharing!
Your little ones are adorable! They are growing up so fast... We stay young though, right?
    Happy Monday,
    Ceil
