N is for No-Bakes & No Worries

When I was a bride, my Aunt Juanita shared her recipe for No-Bake Cookies and it has been a family favorite ever since.

Christmas 2013, I made a quadruple batch. You won't believe how fast they went ...

So, if you like chocolate - and no baking, this is a recipe for you!

You can find this recipe on my blog here.

What is better than no baking? Having no worries.

"Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear ... But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you." (excerpts from Matthew 6:25-34)

Instead of being a worrier, be a kingdom seeker.  You can't change anything by worrying but you can do yourself a world of good by seeking God.

Read the whole passage here. It will bless you - even better than no-bakes!

No Bakes and No Worries is another post from my series, Feasting Body and Soul from A-Z.  I believe family dinner is important and I also believe food for the soul is just as important. Join me each day as I explore feeding both.

During April, I’m participating in the A-Z Challenge.  Over  eight hundred writers (as of last count) will be posting in various categories. Visit here to see a list of all the fantastic bloggers – a veritable smorgasbord of entries to feast upon!

  3. I don't think I have ever made no baked cookies; will have to change that soon :) So true not to have any worries, even if we did, what good would it do for us?

  4. Love no bakes. I think most of us try so hard not to worry in our own strength and forget about the seeking God with all our hearts part. So thankful He says we can cast our cares on Him because He cares for us!
