Daybook: 02.16.15

FOR TODAY, MONDAY, FEBRUARY 16

Outside my window...snow, about 9 inches and still coming down.

I am thinking... it's beautiful now. However, I won't like it when it melts!

I am thankful... to get to stay home today

In the kitchen... pinto beans in the crock-pot.

I am wearing... jeans, my favorite comfy purple top, and a light gray cardigan. Oh, and two pairs of socks.

I am creating... blog posts and updating photo albums today.

I am going... nowhere. I love when I can say that.

I am reading... nothing right now. I just finished Max Lucado's Next Door Savior. I think I will see if our church library has more Max.

I am hoping...and praying that our son-in-law Daniel will be safe during his deployment in Kuwait and that time will pass quickly for him so he can be reunited with his little family.

I am looking forward to... Sunday when Janae and the twins will be here.

Around the house... the heater is running constantly and I have out our furriest afghans. Lamps and candles are on for a cozy ambiance.

A favorite quote for today...

“You fail only if you stop writing.” —Ray Bradbury
So when in doubt, write more. – as seen at The Write Practice

One of my favorite things... having a marathon of HGTV's Love It or List it programs.

A few plans for the rest of the week: hair stylist appointment tomorrow, getting ready for a board meeting on Thursday, and an Olive Garden date with my youngest on Saturday. Hope the weather cooperates!

A peek into my day... a Valentine arrangement on our table, the roses courtesy of my sweet hubs:

  2. Hi Jerralea! This is the time for cold days and snow, that's for sure. It's 14 degrees as I write, and my heat is working overtime too. Something to be very thankful for though.

Sounds like your weekend will be busy with fun things. A date at Olive Garden and then seeing the babies. Yay!
Your roses look so pretty, what a sweet gift from your husband :)
    Blessings,
    Ceil
PS Thanks for the writing encouragement!

  3. Jerralea, I really like your blog, and I just checked out your 100 things about me, and it is great, I love how you wrote it! I hope you have a wonderful week and the snow stops so you can get out and about, especially to the Olive Garden. My mom, sister and I are florists, my family has had a flower shop since 1917! And those roses you have are some of the nicest ones I have seen in a long time! I also hope and pray your son in law stays safe and well and the time goes by quickly. Have a great week!
