Life got a little busy, so Monday's Daybook became Tuesday's ...
FOR TODAY, Tuesday, January 13th
Outside my window... chilly gray skies. The temps are in the lower 20s this morning ...
I am thankful... for the little picturesque small town where I work. I can literally go to the post office and be back in less than 5 minutes.
I am wearing... purple skinnies, brown tall boots, a white poet's shirt with a purple and white chevron scarf
I am reading... Max Lucado's "Before Amen." Awesome, like all of Max's books!
Around the house... looking calm and peaceful - the Christmas decor is down (except for wreaths on the door and a couple snowmen.)
A favorite quote for today...
"Gratitude is a dialysis of sorts. It flushes the self-pity out of our systems"
... Max Lucado, Before Amen, page. 82
One of my favorite things... soup. So comforting!
A few plans for the rest of the week: a board meeting this week, and a free Saturday ... not sure what I want to do with it yet.
Can't wait to see these two again!
The daybook is a concept created by Peggy Hostetler. You can link up your own daybook at her site, The Simple Woman's Blog.
Our weather is supposed to be nice Saturday...do I sense a road trip coming on? :)
ReplyDeleteI love soup too. But our son is a bottomless pit and soup just doesn't cut it for him.. Stew doesn't even stick with him long. Someday though Mister and I will enjoy our soups! :)
Max, such a logical, say it plain kind of guy! I love his books! Hope your week goes well and you enjoy that Saturday!
There is nothing better than soup to warm one up on cold winter days :)

It's supposed to be 50 here Saturday, it's going to feel like a heat wave!
ReplyDeleteI love soup this time of year. We've been enjoying it a lot with the colder temps we've had of late. I checked out the soup link..."pinned" it and am ready to try it as soon as I make it to the market again. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that quote from Max Lucado!
It is SO true!
I enjoyed reading your daybook, as always, Jerralea.
Hugs,
Dianna
We live in a small town just like you do. I am so Blessed that we do, as we use to live 28-30 miles from any town/neighbors. ANYWAYS--Your soup sounds good. I loved your Daybook. Blessings
ReplyDeleteThose two little ones get cuter every day! I really like living in a small town too. Your soup sounds very good. I love soup anytime of the year but especially when it's chilly out.
