December Reflections: Favorite Photo of 2014

It is a difficult thing to look back and choose a favorite photo. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and all my photos speak volumes to me. Where I was, what I was doing and who was along for the ride that day - memories flood my mind when I look at each one.

So, I've decided to share two photos:  one I took in 2014 and one someone else took of my favorite subject in 2014. (smile)

I love taking landscapes.  I'm a lot better at catching the beauty of nature then I am at capturing the essence of people - maybe because people don't stand still!  Here is this year's favorite landscape photo.

I love the colors and the sunlight.  Plus, I don't know of anything in nature more wonderful than a tree - unless it's a lake!

Of course, my other favorite photo of 2014 is one I didn't take, but I'm sure in love with the subjects of this picture! Personality plus shines through this photo!
All month long, I'm sharing reflections of 2014.  Want to join in? Link up at Susannah Conley's site. Let's celebrate December together.

  1. I, too, love to take pictures of nature and the great outdoors. And there are just no words for all that adorableness in the picture of your grandbabes.

  2. Hi Jerralea! Did you plan the colors to match? That's amazing! The trees and your grandchildren are resplendent in yellow. The little ones look so happy :)

I love nature scenes too. I used to really like the red leaves, but now I'm more of a 'golden girl'. Beautiful shot!
