December: Leaves
Today as I drove to work, I noticed how all the leaves have fallen. Brown and gray tree limbs against a gray sky painted the landscape. This is one part of the season I don't relish - naked trees.
Here's is a leaf captured on film from our last 2014 road trip. By now, that leaf is totally brown and curled up -- if the winds have not blown it out of existence ...
The great thing is, in 2015, there will be fresh, new, glossy green leaves. It happens. Every. Year.
Thank God.
All month long, I'm sharing reflections of 2014. Want to join in? Link up at Susannah Conley's site. Let's celebrate December together.

I agree that a naked tree looks so sad. I have one in my back yard that I noticed one winter had no leaves and it looked dead. But, the next spring the leaves came out and it is one of the lushest trees I have. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI love to see the new buds come on those bare trees. It is a reminder that everything happens in HIS time and that new life is just around the corner. Pretty yellow leaf!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty yellow leaf among the other ones. It is refreshing that in just a few months new blooms will begin once again.
