Today I want to give praise for people who were a big influence on my life. God used each one of them in various ways and my life is richer for the experience of knowing them. This may take me more than a few days to list them all, but here is today's 5:
- Roberta and Lois: Two sisters who took charge of the youth group and shepherded us, took us places, provided tons of food, laughs and a listening ear. I grew up surrounded by caring people because of them.
- Sister Bates: Our head deacon's wife who modeled what a woman involved in church leadership looks like. Little did I know that years later I would turn into her clone, holding many of the same positions that she held.
- Barbara Harrell and Greta Adams: Two teachers in my business classes that taught me about professionalism and kindness in the office.
- Barbara Hart: who started me on my quest for organization. I learned sooo much from her!
- Dan and Donna Bowlin: They shared with me about positive thinking and self improvement books and learning to not listen to garbage. Revolutionary ideas to me at the time!

There are special people in my life who have discipled me in my walk with the Lord. These people are so precious in our lives, aren't they! A wonderful tribute to your special people. Have a blessed day.

ReplyDeleteAll too often we don't thank the people who helped to develop us and our character. There are many in my past that are already in heaven and I hope they know now the influence they had on me!
