Today is Friday and I am combining my usual Friday's Five post and my November Praise post because both have the same goal in mind - giving the Lord praise for what is in the here and now. If you'd like to join in, either visit the lovely Susanne's blog, Living to Tell the Story and link up, or link up below. Either way, it's a great opportunity to jump in and thank the Lord for the highlights in your life.
My first praise today is that sometimes weather forecasters are wrong! Today was predicted to also be rainy and chilly, but today is filled with ...
- Sunshine! I love days when the sun is shining. I feel way more energetic.
- I'm thankful I have the ability to read. Reading is fundamental - everything I do hinges on it.
- I'm thankful for the Word. Not only do I own several bibles but I can go to BibleGateway.com and read online any version I want.
- I'm also grateful for the opportunity to check out books at our church library. They have an awesome selection.
- I give God praise that I am able to have new glasses when I need them. All this reading would be tough without them!
What are you thankful for today? All during the month of November, I am sharing 5 praises to show my thankfulness. 30 days of November times 5 praises = 150 praises! Would you like to join in? It doesn't matter if you missed the first few days, jump in where you are. If you have a blog, link up below. If you don't, share your praises in the comments.
Yep! It can be super cold but if the sun is shining it doesn't seem so bad! :)
ReplyDeleteI love to read. and if I didn't have my glasses I couldn't do it very well.
I love the sunshine. Just something about it, makes me happy inside, even if it doesn't change the temperature.
ReplyDeleteI too am grateful to be able to read and then to be able to read the Bible! What a wonderful life book God gave us with His word!

I use Biblegateway a lot! I love the ability to read. I have always loved reading and I'm grateful for that!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your list today, Jerralea. Our eyesight is so important. My father-in-law has macular degeneration and it is amazing to me how he has worked around that.
ReplyDeleteI use Bible Gateway a lot, too! Love it!
Sunshine has come and gone today...right now it is gone. I agree...I am more energetic when it is shining.
Sunshine really makes a huge difference doesn't it. Cheers me up to no end!
ReplyDeleteReading is at the top of my list and along with it my favourite book - the Bible.
Happy weekend!
Sunshine really makes a difference in my outlook. too, even if the temperature is colder than I prefer.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice when forecasters are wrong about rainy, chilly days!
Reading is one of my all-time faves, and especially the Bible. I am glad to have it in so many venues - with an app on my phone I have access to it any time.
I am very thankful for reading glasses. I'd be in a heap of trouble and fairly restricted without them.
Oh! What a glorious shot of sunshine through the golden leaves!
ReplyDeleteCan't imagine not being able to read... so many resources at our finger tips, aren't there?
I remember Bible Gateway; used to go to that site to type words in their search engine which will give you verses where the words are mentioned. I then put the verse on a photo I took. If I remember correctly, I also found out my name is actually mentioned in the Bible. It was so much fun. Praise God for sunshine!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love your list this week! I am enjoying the sunshine and warmth today (though it's windy) because by tomorrow our temp is supposed to drop from 59* to 5!
