Fall Gorgeousness

On my recent stay-cation, Jim and I went on a mini road-trip to visit two of our nearby state parks.  We were in search of fall color, and boy, we found it!

I took 172 photos but will share just a few highlights. You're welcome.

I love the Master Artist's work!  I took all of these photos in different locations in about a 75 mile radius of where I live. This time of year, I'm pretty sure I live in one of the prettiest spots in the universe.  Winter? Not so much ...

What does it look like in your neck of the woods?

  1. All of your photos are beautiful, Jerralea, but I especially like the one of the trees around the lake.

We've had a good deal of rain and wind, which has caused the trees to shed most of their leaves. However, the ones that are still hanging on are absolutely beautiful!

  2. Oh lovely lovely. I neeeeed an injection of gorgeous fall colors. We have mostly evergreens and the green-to-brown effect around here -- very little of the yellows and reds.

  4. Lovely pics. I do miss fall in the mid-west. here in north Florida there is some color change going on right now: Cyrpress trees turn orange & scrub oak and various sorts like Maples & Sycamores turn shades of russet, orange & yellow. Plus lots of yellow wild flowers along the edges of the woods. so there's color mixed amongst the evergreen! :)

  5. Beautiful colors! I always loved fall in Montana with the changing of the leaves! We don't really change the seasons here. Mostly what is outside is dying or dead yards since we have the drought and we aren't supposed to water our lawns or water them just a few days a week.
