Daybook: 06.09.14

FOR TODAY, MONDAY, JUNE 9TH

Outside my window...overcast skies and cooler weather - in the 70s.  I love it!

I am thinking...I should announce on my blog the twins' birth!  Baylee Lillian was born June 6 at 2 in the afternoon and Brody Phillip followed along at 3:13.  Baylee was 6 lbs. and 19" long. Brody was 6 lbs. 14 oz. and 19½".  Keep reading until the end to see a photo of my sweeties.

I was also thinking that now our family has five birthdays between May 8 and June 9 to celebrate each year!

I am thankful...the babies were born healthy and my daughter was a trooper and did well through 20 hours of labor.

In the kitchen... nothing yet, but I believe my hubby might just break out the grill and cook us some hot dogs.  If he does, I foresee baked beans and a pasta salad in my future.

I am wearing...tan capris, sandals and my favorite aqua flowered tunic.

I am reading...  "Submerged" by Dani Pettrey

I am looking forward to... leaving for Colorado and holding my twinsies.

I am learning it's hard to focus on filling out all the daybook prompts when you have a lot on your mind, so today's post will be short ...

A favorite quote for today...

“Let the beloved of the Lord rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the Lord loves rests between his shoulders.” (Deuteronomy 33:12, NIV)

One of my favorite things...snuggling a newborn on my shoulder.

A few plans for the rest of the week: packing and getting ready for vacation.

A peek into my day...

  6. Hi Jerralea! Congratulations on the birth of the twins! They are finally here :) And they are such a healthy weight too. Sometimes twins can be a little on the thin side, but not these two!

I'd be looking forward to traveling to see them too. I agree, having a sleeping infant on your shoulder is such a peaceful thing...
    Hugs!
