F. F. F. - 04.25.14

It's Friday again, and time to join in with the Friday's Fave Five bloggers and list 5 highlights from our week.

I got behind in my blogging last week and didn't get to participate.  Thank you to those FFF bloggers who stopped by my blog this week anyway.

1.  As you know, last week was the long-awaited baby shower for my daughter and the twins.  Let me just say that Baylee and Brody will be the best-dressed babies anywhere!  Daughter Elissa did a fine job planning the shower.  The girls and I were her willing, but tired, minions when it was all over ....

2.  The next day was Easter.  We had a great turn-out at church. The worship team's new song went well.  We met up with our chickies at Delmonico's along with Daniel's mom and grandparents and had a wonderful time eating and visiting.  All in all a wonderful day!

(Malia missed out in getting in the pictures.)

3.  Janae went back home on Monday and had a safe trip which is always very important.  Soon we will be visiting her in Colorado and seeing the babies!  Anticipation is always a highlight.

4.  The weather this week has been fabulous.  All you could hope for in a Spring week.

5.  Quote of the week:

“…we often don't enjoy God's comfort because we doubt the power of His promises ... If we want to be comforted, we must make up our minds to believe every single solitary word of comfort God has ever spoken"
Hannah Whitall Smith, in God of All Comfort

I just have to add, of course, you must read His Word so that you know every word of comfort that He has spoken.

And so ends another week on the Journey.  This week-end looks to be a good one with beautiful weather predicted on Saturday.  I'm pretty sure a mini road-trip will have to happen!

What did your week look like?  Share in the comments or link up at Susanne's blog, Living to Tell the Story.

  1. Glad all went well for the shower! And that your daughter made it home safely.

It has been a lovely spring week here, too.

Love Smith's quote as well as your addendum about deriving our comfort from God's Word.

  4. Oh I didn't realize you are getting twins in your family. How nice that you could enjoy a shower together and get to go to Colorado when they are born.
