I enjoy my jobs and love the ministries I've been called to join.
I'm blessed with living in a great area with friends and beautiful scenery surrounding me.
However ...
One of my favorite times of the day is when I walk through the door to my home after a busy day at work or church.
The presence of home surrounds me like a hug. I perk up and feel better almost immediately. I work really hard at having my home in apple-pie order before I walk out the door in the mornings so that it is pleasant to come home at the end of the day.
No visual clutter equals a sigh of relief!
As soon as possible upon arriving at home, I light the candles. It's important to me that my home smells good. I want home to be fragrant and comforting. I am a big fan of candles, scents and sprays. Cinnamon is my favorite but I also like vanilla and linen scents as well.
I kick off my shoes. I'm a barefoot girl. (Of course, if it is cold weather, I find fluffy socks.) I change into comfy clothes.
I feel better already! All that is needed now is a kiss from my hubby and a tall glass of iced sweet tea. Ahhh....
Yes, the best part of my day is coming home and being with my family. I hope your place beckons you homeward each evening as well.

Oh, I so get it! I am a home body. There really is no place I'd rather be:)
ReplyDeleteMe too! I love being at home. It is the favorite partof my day. Candlesand bbare feet too. 😁
ReplyDeleteI get that. I work at home, but still I like a certain level of order and I am very conscious of scents in my home. I love febreeze. my hubby is often allergic to candles, so I only very occasionally use those.
ReplyDeleteI'm a home body before I every get the urge to leave the house. But If and when I'm out it is nice to come home. No clutter, most often mine is clean up before I go to bed in the evening. Everyone says leave it till the morning, but not me, my sigh of relief comes when I first wake up. Smell, ya smell is everything. Thanks for stopping by,
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Cindy
That totally made me want to visit your home--I felt like I was walking into the house with you! Great post. Visiting from Mama Kats.

ReplyDeleteIt really hits me when I've been away. I love to travel, and visit my children and grands. But I love to come home too. Imagine what our final home will bring? So much comfort...
Happy Sunday :)
