Outside my window... a sunny, cool fall day.
I am thinking... of how much I love my children - and how I treasure my memories of when they were small ...
I am thankful... for the meals I have in the freezer. It's going to be super helpful this week since I'll be going to church every night.
In the kitchen... bbq chicken, baked sweet potatoes and corn on the cob.
I am wearing...black jeans, black and white teal ruffled top with teal cardi. And boots!
I am creating... a well-stocked pantry and freezer.
I am going... tonight to our church's revival meeting.
I am reading... "For Every Season," by Cindy Woodsmall
I am hoping... that every veteran feels appreciation from their country. I know that I am thankful for their sacrifice - and for their family's sacrifice of their absence from family activities. I am proud of our son-in-law, Daniel Lawson, for his service in the Army.
I am looking forward to... seeing what God has in store for us during our revival meetings.
I am learning ... I need to be in the scriptures more.
Around the house... I am beginning to use candles to cozy up the ambiance of these fall evenings. Did you know that if you put Downy fabric softener crystals in the top of a tart burner, it makes your house smell fabulous?
I am pondering... Christmas buying ...
A favorite quote for today...
Because we like to be right. And we want justice more than we want love.… Edie Wadsworth – LifeinGrace, 31 Days of less and more - Day 3 - More Forgiveness
Oh, may this attitude not be found in me!
One of my favorite things... a hot cup of Irish Breakfast tea and a warm cinnamon raisin English muffin.
A few plans for the rest of the week: church every night this week - although I hate going somewhere every day, I know this will be worth it.
A peek into my day...

Hi Jerralea! Sounds like you have a lot of blessings in store for you this week! I hope you have a great revival at church.
ReplyDeleteI would love to be more proactive with dinners. My husband asks everyday 'what's for dinner?' and I'm always stumped! My mind is out of that mode, and it needs to be back in.
Today is a very cool, dark and rainy day. Perfect for reflecting on all the soldiers who fought for our country. My husband is a veteran, so its a little day of celebration for him too.
Enjoy your tea!

Jerralea, thank you so much for your kind comment on my blog and for the thanks and appreciation for my father's service.
ReplyDeleteYour dinner sounds yummy.
I pray that you will have the graces needed to be away from home each night this week and for the Word of God going forth at these meetings to accomplish all He wills it too.
Blessings,
Theresa
