Outside my window... is a beautiful fall morning. Temp in the high forties ...
I am thinking... of how blessed I am!
I am thankful... for an answer to prayer yesterday. I knew God would meet the need.
In the kitchen... I haven't decided yet ... I am thinking of soup.
I am wearing... black jeans and boots, black and white ruffled tank with a teal cardigan
I am creating... my series, 31 Basics for Believers
I am reading... Lisa Samson's "Resurrection in May."
I am looking forward to...the next time inspiration strikes.
I am learning... nothing is too hard or too big for God to do. Why do we worry? He's got this!
Around the house...the flower pots on the front porch need to be cleaned out ... Our first frost killed my vincas!
A favorite quote for today... "Nothing is born without travail," from my Pastor, Travis Schroeder's, sermon yesterday morning. We all must experience some birth pains when we are growing into God's will for our lives.
One of my favorite things...when my clothes feel looser.
A few plans for the rest of the week: writing, writing, writing, some cards to send, and some cooking ahead.
A peek into my day..
.
I love the tenacity of this berry vine growing in the midst of rock!
Makes me think of the saying, "Bloom where you're planted."
The daybook is a concept created by Peggy Hostetler. You can link up at her blog, The Simple Woman's Daybook.
Dear Jerralea
ReplyDeleteYou girls who committed to write for 31 days about the same subject, in my eyes, are just as tenacious and courageous as the vine berries growing through the rocks!! I was thinking how you could consider soup for supper when I realized that you guys are in autumn, while we in South Africa are already sweltering in the African summer sun!
Blessings XX
Mia
ditto what Mia said...well, the first part any way! :)
ReplyDeleteI am thinking tonight would be a good night for soup but I am going to try Dianna's Honeyed Chicken.
My Grandmother often quotes "Bloom where you are plante".
Hope you have a blessed day!
Forty degrees! That's cold. I love seeing your reflections on the day.
