Outside my window... fog
I am thinking... of the many many things I want to accomplish right now. It's almost overwhelming, and I pray I use my time wisely doing the things He wants me to do.
I am thankful... for all the blessings I see in my life and in the lives of my family. God is good!
In the kitchen...fresh green beans, potatoes and bacon cooked in the pressure cooker (using my all time highest pageview post, Pressure Cooker Green Bean Dinner) Thanks, Sister Anna, for the green beans!
I am wearing... purple and black maxi skirt, black blouse and sandals
I am creating... a new blog series on Feasting
I am reading... Book 3 of Beverly Lewis' Home to Hickory Hollow series, "The Guardian."
I am looking forward to...Labor Day ... my next day off
Around the house... change in the air. Our oldest is in the process of moving out and we will soon be bonefide empty nesters ..
I am pondering... how I can make something positive out of the changes going on in my life.
A favorite quote for today...
For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous;
with favor You will surround him as with a shield. Psalm 5:12
I love this scripture so much - not only does God make redemption possible for us, but He is willing to shield us with favor if we are willing to be in right standing with Him. (Righteous means to be in right standing with God. How do we do that? Repent and turn from our wicked ways and accept the free gift of salvation by believing in Jesus Christ.)
I have been seeing this verse come true in my oldest daughter's life right now. She has a heart for God and lately has been in a season of blessing and favor like you wouldn't believe!
God loves His children equally, so keep believing in His blessing and favor - it will surely come.
One of my favorite things... bedtime! (When I was a little kid, it was my least favorite thing.)
A few plans for the rest of the week: some blogging, some bookkeeping, some helping at Lissa's house.
A peek into my day...
Dreaming of being back at the lake!
(This post was posted a day late because yesterday was crazy!)
