Daybook: 04.09.13

FOR TODAY, TUESDAY, APRIL 9

Outside my window
... a gorgeous spring day, it is 69° already

I am thinking...so, I missed posting a daybook on Monday.  Tuesday is "good enough."

I am thankful... for color in the landscape.  Some trees are beginning to bloom in just the last couple days.  Next week there should be even more color

In the kitchen... chicken in the crockpot.  I am making enough chicken for 3 meals.  Tonight's meal will be chicken and yellow rice.

I am wearing...black dress with a white shrug, white long necklaces and black sandals.

I am creating... a blog post.  Writer's Workshop has a prompt this week that asks you to share 6 of your favorite quotes.  My problem will be ... which 6?

I am reading... Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan.  Classic.

I am hoping... my babygirl's job interview goes well on Thursday.

I am looking forward to...our Branson trip in 17 more days!

I am pondering...
John 1:12
But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:

Isn't that the most awesome thing you ever heard?  He could have made us His slaves, He would be totally justified, but instead He made us His children!

A favorite quote for today...

Jennifer Rothschild @jennrothschild
Fear is a feeling; Faith is a choice. Choose faith today.
… seen on twitter

As you may remember, my word for 2013 is Fearless.  I'm choosing faith instead!

One of my favorite things... a good hair day ...

A few plans for the rest of the week: I've planned some posts to write

A peek into my day...

It is beginning to look like Spring!

The daybook is a concept created by Peggy Hostetler.  You can link up at her blog, The Simple Woman's Daybook.

  1. yes, I think we are in the same area. I believe you will pass me when you go to Branson. I love the colors that are popping out. I didn't realize how tire of brown I was. Pilgrim's Progress is on my TBR list. I thought it pretty cool that the verse you are pondering speaks of being children of God as did the verse I was pondering this morning. Isn't God awesome! fear (I am starting that with a little "f" because I am not going to give it anymore soil than I have to. I have struggled with fear off and on. And my husband always reminds me that I am not allowing God to be God if I keep living in fear. I have talked myself off many cliffs of fear by quoting scripture. Will be praying that babygirl's job interview goes well.

  2. The trees are beautiful! Just love trees~

I pray your daughter gets her job! Please pray my nephew gets his tomorrow...he is a wife, 2 small kids and one on the way, and is out of money.

Yep...Fear helps no one, and stops the flow of Faith!

  3. I also love a good hair day. Lol Thank you for your perspective on that verse. I am thankful he allows us to be children and not slaves.
