Daybook-12.10.12

FOR TODAY, MONDAY, DECEMBER 10

Outside my window..
. gray, gray, gray and 41°.  On the bright side, it is cool enough, finally, to wear my winter wardrobe. These near-seventy days have been uncomfortable - I'd regretted packing away my summer clothes.

I am thinking... of all the things I need to be doing ...

I am thankful... I'm never bored

In the kitchen...pinto beans in the crockpot

I am wearing...gray slacks, gray and black print top and gray cardi

I am reading... a new Lorena McCourtney mystery:  "Dying To Read."

I am looking forward to...getting my nails done this evening.  They need it!

A favorite quote for today...

"The devil loves it when we say we believe then prioritize everything in our lives ahead of God." AW Tozer

One of my favorite things... evenings at home

A few plans for the rest of the week: Christmas cards mailed, online shopping, more digital scrapping.

A peek into my day...

Remembering Christmas long ago...

The daybook is a concept created by Peggy Hostetler.  You can link up at her blog, The Simple Woman's Daybook.

  1. Oh boy, that quote is exactly what I needed to read today.

  2. Whenever I read an entry into the simple woman's daybook I am reminded of my Grandma's diaries. She always recorded the temp/weather and her activities for the day. It is so much fun to go back and read her entries~I am amazed at how many days ended with a visit to/from someone. I love that she was so social!
    Keep up the God work.
