Daybook-08.12.12

FOR TODAY, MONDAY, AUGUST 13

Outside my window...  rain and a dangerous thunderstorm alert

I am thinking... about Pastor's sermon on procrastination.  He said, "Do we want to be remembered as the person who said they were going to do things but never did?"

Ouch!

I am thankful... to be back home, safe and sound, after we had car trouble on vacation.

In the kitchen... home made pizza one day, fried chicken another day. I am not sure about the rest of the week, yet.

I am wearing...khaki capris and an aqua gauzy cotton top.  The material feels so comfy.

I am creating... nothing much right now ... there is no time.

I am looking forward to... catching up at work.  My time off has me a little bit behind.

I am learning ... that I need to go to bed earlier!

Around the house... a few chores I'm behind on:  cleaning out the fridge and putting up laundry.

I am pondering... ways to save on my grocery budget.

A favorite quote for today... "I" is always in the middle of sin .... quoted by Ellston Chapman.

One of my favorite things... when my hubby stops by the office bringing me a sweet tea.  Aww!

A few plans for the rest of the week: mom is here visiting so we will be spending time together.  Also, I plan to meet my uncle for dinner (along with whatever cousins want to come.)

A peek into my day...

  1. Glad you are home safely after having car trouble on vacation. That happened to us once on the way back home and it was so scary!
