I love me some Fridays!
It's been another good week. The work week went smoothly. The weather was great. I've been blessed!
1. Favorite Post to Write: This week, my favorite was my Daybook-05.22.12 because of the insight I shared that God revealed to me about Psalm 68:19. I love doing Daybooks. I've done 95 of them. I think they are a wonderful way to weekly journal - as is the Friday's Favorite Five meme. In fact, the only meme I've done more than Daybooks are the Friday's Fave Five! 113 of them-all testifying to the highlights I've experienced in this life that God has given me.

2. Favorite Meal: Last weekend, our church hosted a pastoral candidate and his family. We had a fellowship meal on Saturday and had a wonderful time getting to know the family. I love potlucks. Church ladies are the best cooks in the world!
3. Favorite Photo: I'm growing to love flowers more and more. I just wish I had time to take care of a flower garden. Here is a photo of my flower babies (I have to do container gardens for now!)

One rose from the Knock-Out Rose bush we just planted. Pray for growth!
4. Favorite Quote: I ran across a wonderful blogger, Nikki, who said the following:
"You see, we’ve been hard-wired for heaven.
He has made everything beautiful in its time.
He has also set eternity in the human heart;
yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV
The desire for eternity is built into our heart. Nothing will satisfy that void this side of heaven."
Her words echo so much what has been in my spirit lately. "This world is not my home, I'm just a stranger traveling through," Bro. Sidney Callis used to testify back in our little home church. I'm homesick for a home I've never seen.
5. Favorite Blog to Visit: You guessed it, my favorite place to go this week was Nikki's "SimplyStriving."
Susanne of Living to Tell the Story hosts this wonderful meme. Link up and share YOUR highlights!
'Eternity in their hearts'--one of my favorite phrases!
ReplyDeleteLove those beautiful containers :)
A burden of blessings -- I love that. And the fact that He set eternity in our hearts is so lovely. I've always loved that concept, too.
ReplyDeleteYour flower pots are so pretty! Hope you have a great week ahead.
Love the container flowers. That is mostly how I display my flowers too.
ReplyDeleteLove the thoughts on that powerful scripture in Psalms. Sometimes we humans have a hard time wrapping our minds around how much God wants to bless us. I also love the term "hard wired for heaven". I'll have to check out her blog.
I have a feeling that Knockout won't need much prayer. They're known to be extremely vigorous and disease resistant. Hope it does well for you! Your container flowers look lovely. I like the color combinations very well.
